Moving Three.js from WebGL to WebGPU

  • English

This talk covers the transition of Three.js from WebGL to WebGPU, reflecting on the opportunities and challenges we encountered along the way. WebGPU offers new possibilities for performance and flexibility, and in the process, we’ve developed a modular shading language to simplify shader creation and customization. This shift aims to keep Three.js accessible while embracing the next generation of web graphics.
